About Us

As its first step in the internationalization and as a result of an invitation from the Chilean Government through the Corporación de Fomento de la Producción (CORFO), UC Davis installed a of Life Science Innovation Center with a focus on the needs of the agricultural-food sector in Chile.

Since agriculture is quite broad, UC Davis LINC Chile will be launched initially focusing on the following four strategic areas of the agricultural industry:

Bioproducts Development

Adaptation to Climate Change

Post-Harvest

Viticulture and Enology

Our main objectives

  1. Create a platform for collaborative research between UC Davis and Chilean researchers, to support life science innovation in Chile and California. 
  2. Effectively transfer life sciences technologies from UC Davis and from the collaborative programs of the UC Davis Chile center, to the Chilean industry. 
  3. Link UC Davis’ educational programs and creation capacity with Chile.
